Shopping near subway stations: 12 Toronto TTC stops

Twelve TTC stations open onto a Toronto shopping street. Each entry below gives the line, the station address and the exit. All of it was read from the TTC's own station pages on 20 September 2026.

Line 2, Bay to Broadview

Bay station. 1240 Bay Street on Line 2, six entrances, accessible. Two open inside the Yorkville grid at Cumberland Street and Bellair Street, two more on Bloor at numbers 80 and 110.

Bloor Yonge. Lines 1 and 2 meet at 20 Bloor Street East, and the station is accessible. Seven entrances, one at 1 Bloor Street East and one on Hayden Street.

Ossington station. Line 2, 746 Ossington Avenue, the entrance 49 metres north of Bloor Street West. Route 63 Ossington starts here and heads south.

Dundas West station. 2365 Dundas Street West on Line 2, one entrance, 63 metres north of Bloor Street West. Inside, the 505 Dundas streetcar has a separated platform.

Runnymede station. Line 2, 265 Runnymede Road, three elevators. The entrance is 42 metres north of Bloor Street West, which puts you in Bloor West Village.

Broadview station. 760 Broadview Avenue on Line 2, one entrance, 42 metres north of Danforth Avenue. The 504 King and 505 Dundas streetcars both stop inside.

Line 1, Union to Dundas Square

Union station. 55 Front Street West, Line 1. Two of its entrances reach the PATH, at 200 Bay Street in Royal Bank Plaza and 181 Bay Street in Brookfield Place.

St Andrew station. Line 1, 173 King Street West, with a PATH entrance leading east and west off the concourse. The accessible southeast corner door is at 145 King Street West.

King station. 3 King Street East on Line 1, and the TTC marks it not accessible. Its Melinda Street entrance opens into the Commerce Court retail concourse, and another reaches Scotia Plaza.

Osgoode station. Line 1, 181 Queen Street West, with four sidewalk staircases on the corners of University Avenue and Queen. The southeast entrance sits inside the Four Seasons Centre and has an elevator.

Queen station. 3 Queen Street East, Line 1, with eight entrances. The Eaton Centre door is on the northwest corner, 32 metres west of Yonge Street, and it is accessible.

TMU station. Line 1, 3 Dundas Street East, still named on the TTC page as the former Dundas station. One entrance opens inside the Eaton Centre atrium and another inside Atrium on Bay.

Ossington station stands at 746 Ossington Avenue. The shops start near number 42, at Queen.

Two stations whose names mislead

St Patrick station is at 449 University Avenue. All four entrances sit within 41 metres of Dundas Street West, so it is not a Queen West stop.

Spadina station has three Line 2 entrances, at 6 and 7 Spadina Road and on Walmer Road. Its Line 2 platform is accessible and its Line 1 platform is not.

Which subway station is closest to Yorkville shopping?

Bay station, 1240 Bay Street on Line 2. Its Cumberland Street and Bellair Street entrances put you in the Yorkville grid without crossing Bloor. The shoptoronto directory held 17 Yorkville shops on 20 September 2026, and the Yorkville shop list gives eight checked street addresses.

Is there a subway station on Ossington Avenue?

Yes, at 746 Ossington Avenue, north of Bloor Street West. The shops sit between Queen Street West and Dundas Street West, well south of that. Route 63 Ossington is listed at the station, and the Ossington shop list has the street numbers.

Which subway station should I use for Queen Street West?

Osgoode station, 181 Queen Street West on Line 1. Queen station, at 3 Queen Street East, covers the Yonge end of the same street. Driving is a different problem, and the Toronto parking note carries the lot numbers.

Of these twelve stations, King is the only one the TTC marks not accessible. Five of them reach the PATH, and the PATH shopping note counts what is down there.
